With a focus on the electricity business, which has a consistent supply system from power generation to retail, we also operate a VPP business utilizing storage batteries, city gas business, and an overseas renewable energy business. We provide a stable supply of electricity, primarily through power plants with a capacity of over 2 million kW owned by the ENEOS Group, and are actively involved in the use of renewable energy.
Introducing the Electricity Business
Power plants located throughout Japan
The ENEOS Group has state-of-the-art, high-efficiency natural gas power plants and other power plants throughout Japan that contribute to a stable supply of electricity. The power generated by these power plants is our main source of electricity, and we strive to ensure that customers can use electricity stably and safely.
Providing electricity and city gas options that meet customer needs
The ENEOS Group entered the electricity retail business in 2003 and following the full deregulation of electricity and gas retailing, began supplying household electricity in 2016 and household city gas in 2019.
Electricity is sold throughout Japan*, and city gas is sold in the Tokyo Gas and Keiyo Gas areas.
In addition to our regular pricing options, we offer renewable energy supply options and off-site PPA (Power Purchase Agreement using a self-consignment system) proposals that utilize renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power owned and developed by Group companies, as well as the “EV Night Plan,” a time band-based pricing options that offers “good value” to electric vehicle (EV/PHEV) users. We will continue to offer options and value-added services that meet customer needs.
