At this stage, there is no definite answer as to what the main sources of energy will be in a carbon-neutral society. There are several possible scenarios.

Digitalization at refineries
We will bring about safe and stable operations, maximize profits, and streamline work in aims of establishing competitive refineries.
Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF)
We will carry out supply chain construction at an early stage with the goal of the largest supply system in Japan.
Energy Management System (VPP)
We will strive to fortify earning power of the electricity business through energy management.
CCS/CCUS (Capture, Storage, and Utilization of CO2)
We are fortifying and constructing value chains to prepare for future expansion of CCS/CCUS.
Renewable Energy
We are making efforts to establish ourselves as a major player in development and operation of renewable energy sources.
Synthetic Fuels
We are making efforts to establish manufacturing technology for synthetic fuels (e-fuel) at an early stage and implement them in society.
Hydrogen
We are aiming to construct a hydrogen supply chain in anticipation of a future society that uses a large volume of hydrogen.
